Summary
- You can play without an account. Guest progress stays on your device.
- If you create an account, your email and game progress are stored with Google Firebase so you can back up your game and play with friends.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob and Unity Ads, which use device identifiers.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. I never see your payment details.
- I don't sell your personal information.
1. Information collected
a. If you play as a guest
Your progress (animals met, Affection, Bestiary, currencies and settings) is saved on your device only.
b. If you create an account
- Email address and password, handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). Passwords are stored by Google in hashed form; I can't see them. Firebase also processes your IP address and device information to keep sign-in secure.
- Account ID: a random identifier Firebase creates for your account.
- Game data, stored in Google Cloud Firestore: your progress, Affection, Bestiary, Coins, Gems, items, win streaks and purchase-granted items.
- Social data: your username, Friend Code, friends list, gifts sent and received, and leaderboard scores with their dates and times. Your username and leaderboard scores are visible to other players. Please don't use your real name or personal details as a username.
c. Advertising
Fruity Fauna shows ads from Google AdMob and Unity Ads. These services may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. They use this to show ads, limit repeats, measure performance and prevent fraud. Third parties may place and read cookies, web beacons or similar identifiers for this purpose. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Unity privacy policy.
On iOS, you're asked for permission before your advertising identifier is used for tracking, and you can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, you're asked for consent to personalized ads. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings.
d. Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. I receive confirmation that a purchase happened (product, date and a transaction ID) so the game can deliver it. I never receive your name, card number or billing address from them.
e. Diagnostics
The game may collect crash reports and anonymous usage statistics (for example, which screens are opened and how long sessions last) to fix bugs and improve the game. These do not include your email.
f. If you contact me
If you email support, I receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
2. How information is used
- To run the game, save and restore your progress and deliver purchases.
- To provide friends, gifts and leaderboards.
- To show ads that help keep the game free.
- To fix crashes, prevent cheating and fraud, and improve the game.
- To answer your support requests.
Where the law requires a legal basis: account and game data are used to provide the service you asked for; ads and analytics rely on your consent where required, or on my legitimate interest in keeping the game free and working.
3. Who information is shared with
Only with service providers that run parts of the game, each under its own privacy and security commitments:
| Provider | What for | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore) | Accounts, cloud saves, friends, leaderboards | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Ads | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Unity Ads | Ads | unity.com/legal |
| Apple, Google Play | Downloads and payments | apple.com/legal/privacy · policies.google.com/privacy |
I may also disclose information if the law requires it. I don't sell personal information, and I don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the ad services listed above.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, using the safeguards their policies describe.
4. How long information is kept
- Account and game data: until you delete your account. It is then removed within 30 days, and from Google's backups within 180 days.
- Guest data: on your device until you uninstall the game.
- Support emails: up to 1 year after your issue is resolved.
- Ad and analytics data: as described in each provider's policy.
5. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time: here's how.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask me to correct it, by emailing service.wyliolivete@gmail.com.
- Limit ad tracking in your device settings, as described above.
Depending on where you live (for example under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, the EU/UK GDPR or California law), you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict processing. I'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the Philippines, you can also contact the National Privacy Commission.
6. Children
Fruity Fauna is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email me and I'll delete it.
7. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with Google's security measures. No method is 100% secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the game or on this page.
